Newton Councillor serves up vision for Langland

Newton Ward Councillor Will Thomas has been hard at work trying to secure the future of Langland Tennis Courts.

“I had a fantastic meeting with the Lawn Tennis Association at Langland last Month and I am confident that we will secure funds for the project very soon”.

Will continued, “I will continue to work closely with friends of Langland Tennis and Mumbles Community Council to improve these facilities as the neglect of these courts has gone on far to long”.

Swansea Council recently reported that they are exploring the possibility of selling the double tennis court in Langland. Cllr Will Thomas is putting together an alternative proposal that would see the addition of paddle tennis on the area and with Judy Murray offering her support he is hoping to keep this area as sports and recreation land.
